Wrinkles are folds or creases in the skin that typically appear as a result of the natural aging process. In addition to aging, wrinkling in the skin is caused by habitual facial expressions, sun damage, smoking, poor hydration, and various other factors.  As we age, our skin's natural collagen, which is responsible for its strength and elasticity, breaks down causing fine lines and wrinkles to appear.

There are many ways in which we can treat your fine lines and wrinkles easily and with little to no downtime.  Our dermatologists will discuss your treatment options based on your skin type and the amount of collagen depletion.  Injectable Botox Cosmetic, our most popular wrinkle treatment, effectively erases wrinkles around the eyes, glabellar and forehead for 3 to 6 months by paralyzing the underlying muscles, making the skin impossible to wrinkle.  For some patients, there has been a loss of volume which causes wrinkles.  Dermal fillers will restore fullness to deep lines and wrinkles that may appear around the mouth, cheeks and under the eyes by restoring the depleted collagen. A fat transfer is a more permanent solution to treat wrinkles and folds, however, the fat grafting surgery is more invasive requiring up to a week of downtime.  

In addition to treating wrinkles, the fractional skin resurfacing laser will improve overall skin tone and texture.  The non-invasive frational laser produces tiny microthermal treatment zones, penetrating deep into the dermis and leaving the surrounding skin unaffected and intact.  This "fractional" treatment allows the skin to heal much faster using the body's natural healing process to create new, healthy, tighter tissue, resulting in less wrinkles and a more youthful appearance.  Depending on your skin type, a series of 3 to 5 fractional laser treatments are required for optimal results.
